- Navigate to the 'TEMPLATE' menu on the top and select "CREATE NEW TEMPLATE'. Alternatively you can access this menu via the 'NEW' button on top of the text field on the 'COMPOSER' tab.
- This will open a little popup where you can enter a TEMPLATE NAME and can write your message in the bottom text field. If you wish, you can add a merge fields offered on the right such as the patients first name or their next appointment details.
- Click SAVE.
- To use this template when sending a message, head to the 'COMPOSER' tab.
- To choose a patient, you can enter their last name and first name in the 'PATIENT NAME' field and hit 'SEARCH'. This will lookup the patient in your Medtech database. Select the patient and move them with the arrow pointing right to the 'RECIPIENTS' box.
Alternatively you can enter any NZ mobile number in the 'PATIENT NAME' field and click search - keep in mind that merge fields will appear blank when sending a text to a mobile number. - You can add multiple patients or mobile numbers to the 'RECIPIENTS' field at once to send bulk messages.
- Once a patient or mobile number has been added to the "RECIPIENTS' field you can click the dropdown menu button on the 'Select your template' field. This will show you all existing templates, including the one you have just added. Select it. This will fill the text box with the message - you now have the option to make changes to the message before using the 'SEND' button to send this to the patient.
- Should you need to make changed to your existing text template, head back to the 'TEMPLATES' menu on the top and select 'TEMPLATE MANAGEMENT'.
